How much work is involved?

The Assessment contains over 100 statements and around 35 requests for evidence. For each statement, participants are asked to rate themselves using one of 5 possible ratings and to collate evidence as requested. Participants have 8 weeks to do this and are asked to submit to Employers’ Forum on Disability by the deadline specified.

Completion time will vary with size and complexity of the organisation, but the Research & Development Group who piloted the Disability Standard found it took between 2-6 working days. There will also be a varying amount of work within different organisations in terms of taking forward recommendations made as a result of participating in the Disability Standard.
