We take a diversity approach and disability is built into this, will this affect our results?
There are questions within the Assessment that refer to disability equality action plans, vision, goals, policies, training etc. If your organisation has diversity action plans, goals, training etc, you should consider whether disability is specifically referred to within them, rating yourself accordingly.
It is also important to note that when addressing or considering disability, the Employers' Forum on Disability, takes disability to include the following:
• Hearing, speech or visual impairments.
• Co-ordination, dexterity, or mobility.
• Mental health.
• Cognitive disabilities.
• Learning disabilities.
• Other physical or medical conditions (for example cancer, epilepsy or arthritis).
