Recognising participation

The Disability Standard is designed to be used as a measurement tool by any organisation committed to progresssing their work on disability. It is not a quick fix solution and different organisations will be at different stages on an individual journey towards disability confidence.

EFD commends organisations for using the Disability Standard self assessment tool, and demonstrating their commitment by requesting an EFD evaluation. By agreeing to this external evaluation of your work, not only are you receiving expert evaluation of your progress, but you are also contributing to the EFD benchmark, the largest piece of research focused on disability as it affects business.

Members will be recognised as a Disability Standard participant on the Disability Standard website when you commit to an EFD evaluation.

Once your work has been submitted for EFD evaluation, you will be entitled to use the Disability Standard logo on your website or communications.

Once EFD has evaluated your organisation's submission, you will receive a further logo depending on your score. This logo can be used from that point onwards.

Logos will be awarded for:

  • Gold (90% or more)
  • Silver (80% or more)
  • Bronze (70% or more)
  • Participant status.

EFD will not release any organisational scores at any time and ask that participants refrain from promoting their actual mark until the benchmark results have been released.

In addition to promoting the results of top performers, we will profile examples of best practice across all criteria.  This could be your organisation's chance to shine!
