About

The Disability Standard is an online management tool developed by Employers’ Forum on Disability (EFD) to help business to measure and improve on performance for disabled customers, clients or service users, employees and stakeholders. Find out more about the Disability Standard below.

The Disability Standard is the world's only business led benchmark on disability. Designed in 2004 as a measurement framework that sets the benchmark for best practice on disability its purpose and value remain true today.
Following the 2009 Disability Standard, we consulted with former participants, EFD members and associates to develop a new future proof Disability Standard which meets the needs of business both here in the UK and futher afield.
To take part in the Disability Standard you need to be a member of Employers' Forum on Disability (EFD). To see if your organisation is a member please visit the EFD website.  Find out more about the Disability Standard process and how your organisation could benefit from taking part.
Take a look at which of our members have taken part in the Disability Standard since it started in 2005 and those who have signed up for the 2012 benchmark.
You can download the Disability Standard Benchmark reports from 2005 onwards. The reports are available in PDF and accessible Word formats.
The Disability Standard was originally developed in partnership with our leading members and Employers’ Forum on Disability (EFD) associates in 2004. 80 participants took part in the first benchmark in 2005 and this number has continued to grow...
